Patrick Sheehan
District 51 — Clackamas

Since 1997, Patrick has owned and operated Crazy Fingers Design Group Inc., an advertising agency with a focus on interactive communication, strategy and design. Today, Sheehan works with dozens of corporate clients nationwide to develop strategies and deploy solutions that leverage web-based technologies. The goal is to make processes more efficient, strengthen brand images, and achieve a rapid return-on-investment through niche growth categories. It’s this talent for situational analysis and goal-oriented creative problem solving that Sheehan will bring to the State Legislature.

In the early days of the company, Sheehan was part-time faculty at Clackamas Community College, where he taught computer graphics off-and-on for close to a decade. Patrick also volunteered on the college’s Business Advisory Committee, helping craft the Business Department’s curriculum requirements for certificate programs.

In 2003, Patrick moved his home and business to Clackamas, frustrated with the City of Portland’s environment of oppressive taxation and over regulation. It was at this time that Sheehan became active in local politics, volunteering for a number of candidates and measures and serving as a precinct committee person (PCP) for the Republican party. This is the first time Sheehan has run for elected office other than PCP.

In 2006, Sheehan became a licensed Realtor® while developing an online real estate platform to help Realtors reach For Sale By Owner clients. The real estate bubble’s burst has put the online project on hold, but Sheehan still actively markets and sells property to families relocating to Clackamas, Happy Valley, Oregon City, West Linn and Lake Oswego.

Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University in 1996, where he worked all four years at the Daily Evergreen Newspaper – ending his college career serving two semesters on the Editorial Board as a section editor. He graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton in 1992.

Patrick lives in unincorporated Clackamas County. He is a fourth-generation entrepreneur and 30-year resident of Oregon. He is an avid fly-fisherman, downhill mountain biker and guitar player.
