Dan Lucas
District 27 — Beaverton

Dan and his wife Rachel have been married for 29 years. They have lived in Beaverton for 23 years, where their children attended K-12 in the Beaverton School District. They are joined in the campaign by daughters Marian (25) and Teresa (23). Marian was so inspired by her teachers in Beaverton that she went on to become a public school teacher in the Salem-Keizer School District, and Dan has served locally on a high school site council.

Dan is an information technology manager and he has worked in both state government and private industry. Dan is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as an analyst at a major Cold War spy station in Berlin. He has appeared on national television to discuss federal health care reform, and he has written on health care reform and Oregon’s tax measures. Dan and Rachel enjoy spending time volunteering for the THPRD Park Watch program and volunteering in daughter Marian’s elementary school. Last year they took time to go through the Beaverton Police Department Citizens Academy.
